Bio: Elisabeth Oosthuizen (BMus, Voice, Temple University) has taught voice lessons for ten years around the Phialdelphia region. Her teaching technique relies just as heavily on her own experience performing in musical theatre, opera, and in a chorale setting as it does the Bel Canto technique. She sets goals that are reachable for her students but makes sure to keep them challenged and growing as performers, vocalists, and individuals. She believes that an excellent sound can only come from an excellent foundation, and from maintaining excellent vocal health. This, along with a knack for quick diagnosis of vocal issues and simple explanations on how to fix them makes her a strong teacher for both beginners and advanced students, and everyone in between. Elisabeth is currently faculty at Settlement Music School, where she also works in administration as a Program Manager.
