Bio: Song graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and has been on the faculty teaching classical singing at various institutions in China including Liaoning Normal University, Zhejiang Institute of Media and Communications, and Qianjiang Academy of Hangzhou Normal University. Her operatic roles include the title role in full productions of Bizet’s “Carmen” by both the Zhejiang Opera and Dance Theatre and the California Opera Association, and Alisa in “Lucia di Lammermoor”, also with the COA. Amnerise in “Aida. She has received many first place awards in various province-wide and national vocal competitions in China, and honorable mentions in the CCTV nationwide televised biannual young singers competitions sponsored by the Chinese government.
