Bio:

Wesley Diener is a Chicago-based performer, voice educator, and stage director who is highly sought after for musical theater, cabaret, and opera projects.

He has performed across the United States and internationally with companies such as Teatro Nuovo, Classic Lyric Arts, Bel Canto in Tuscany, and the Shakespeare Opera Theatre. Native to Virginia, Wesley has appeared with many of the region's finest organizations, including Charlottesville Opera, Opera Roanoke, the Oratorio Society of Richmond, and most recently, Creative Cauldron for several sold-out solo cabaret performances.

Quickly gaining recognition as a leading musical theater voice instructor, Wesley is passionate about guiding singers to unlock their unique vocal freedom, power, and versatility to confidently sing many styles of music. His students have performed in Broadway national tours and regional theater productions, as well as numerous professional film and TV projects.

Wesley is the Founder of WD Studio, a virtual voice studio committed to inspiring and empowering singers of all ages to discover their full vocal potential. In addition to individual voice lessons, WD Studio offers group classes in songwriting with platinum-certified songwriters, as well as acting technique, audition preparation, and monologue coaching with leading acting coaches from NYC and London.

Outside of the classroom, Wesley is a versatile stage director in the genres of musical theater, theater, and opera. His directing credits include The Last Five Years, Oklahoma!, Junie B. Jones, and Jean Jacques Rousseau's opera Le devin du village at institutions such as Charlottesville Opera, the University of Virginia, DMR Adventures and the VA New Works Festival.

Wesley graduated from the University of Virginia, where he was a member of the Distinguished Majors Program, the Performance Concentration, and the Miller Art Scholars. He has attended the CCM Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University and is trained in all three levels of Somatic Voicework™.
