2026 Conference- Call for mini-recital performers

National Conference Mini-Recital Performance Application 

NATS is seeking individuals, small ensembles, or studios to perform Commercial Music or Musical Theatre mini-recitals at the National Conference in San Antonio, TX, July 4-6 2026.

Application Requirements:

• Solo performances- please submit a recent youtube video recording of the soloist
• Small ensemble performances- please submit a youtube video recording of the small ensemble as a whole, or of each performer as a soloist.
• Headshot
• 150-word biography

Additional Information:

• All selected participants are required to register for the conference.
• All mini-recitalswill take place in an exhibition hall setting, which may include some background activity and ambient noise. This format reflects the successful model used at other music and music education conferences, and we appreciate your flexibility in embracing this unique performance environment.
• Mini-recitalists will have access to an acoustic piano, microphones, amp to plug in guitar, and the ability to play tracks.
• All mini-recitals are limited to twenty minutes.
• Commercial Music styles can include bluegrass, blues, calypso, contemporary Christian, country, electro-pop, folk, funk, gospel, jazz, kpop, mariachi, pop, punk, rap, reggae, rhythm & blues (R&B), rock, soul, world styles, and more.

Application Deadline:

• The deadline for submission is Monday, December 1, 2025.
• Acceptance Emails will be sent no later than Monday, January 12, 2026.
