Bio: Emily is a summa cum laude graduate of Moody Bible Institute, holding her B. Mus. in Vocal Performance. With experience in the performing arts that extends beyond her years, Emily strives to glorify God through musical excellence. Emily has been seen in productions of Le Nozze di Figaro as Susanna, Cosi Fan Tutte as Despina, The Telephone as Lucy, Sweeney Todd as Johanna, Der Schauspieldirektor as Mlle Silberklang, and various roles in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. Concert credits include soprano soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria, the Fauré Requiem, Rutter’s Requiem, and Handel’s Messiah. In the summer of 2014, Emily was invited by Oberlin Conservatory to perform in an opera training program in Arezzo, Italy, where she not only performed various opera scenes, but also studied the Italian language. Though her passion is opera and classical vocal music, Emily also has experience in worship leading, musical theater directing, and choral conducting. Emily teaches classical technique as the foundation for all styles of music whether it be contemporary, broadway, Christian, or opera and firmly believes it to be the starting point for a healthy, happy, and beautiful voice.
