Katherine Neeb is a classically trained musician, performer, and teacher, passionate about helping her students of all ages find their own unique voice. She has experience teaching a variety of musical styles, including classical, pop, music theatre, jazz, and contemporary. Her students have been accepted into music programs at post-secondary institutions, performed in local musicals and competitions, prepared for RCM examinations, and studied for the pure joy of making music. She seeks to empower and guide her students to discover their true potential as singing artists. Katherine’s voice has been described as “tender and powerful, a dynamic combination” (Arshak Andriasov, composer). As a soprano with a passion for concert repertoire and new music, she has worked with composers Ronald Beckett, John Beckwith, Norbert Palej, and Arshak Andriasov. She enjoys exploring music in different languages, including the Norwegian music of Edvard Grieg, and gave the World Premiere of Andriasov's Russian Romances at the Toronto Andriasov Music Festival. Solo performances include Haydn's Creation, Bach Cantata 133 and Vivaldi's Magnificat with KW's Spiritus Ensemble, and a solo recital at the Bach Music Festival of Canada.
