Bio: I teach at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I teach both undergraduate music education and performance majors, as well as graduates students in voice at the Masters and Doctorate level. My teaching focuses on a flexible technique capable of a variety of genres and styles. I have spent a great deal of time studying the science of the singing voice so this knowledge supports what I have known works from my years of high profile performing and teaching. I have current and relevant knowledge of topics in acoustics and voice science and share it when applicable in a friendly non-intimidating manner.
