Title: Teacher of Singing: Royal Academy of Music, London

For over thirty years Elizabeth Wallace has been an acclaimed master vocal instructor and professional performer. She has a growing voice studio in the metro-west area and is recognized for her vast knowledge of repertoire, excellent ear for fixing vocal problems and extensive exercises from the Italian school for expanding range and holistically balancing the singing voice. Her students have won highest honors of distinction through the international standards of the Royal Schools of Music.

Ms. Wallace has received diplomas and held the position of teacher of singing from the following international learning centers of music: • Cork School of Music, Cork, Ireland--Royal Academy of Music, London • Conservatorio Paganini in Genova, Italy • Hochschule für Musik , Frankfurt, Germany • L' Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid, Spain • Die Mozarteum, Salzburg, Austria

After winning the Player Wills Bursary: Voice of Great Britain competition, she went on to perform and teach in England, Ireland, Germany and Austria as well as performing as mezzo-soprano throughout Spain and Mexico with Placido Domingo and L'Orquesta Nacional de España under the baton Rafael Frübeck de Burgos.

In the Boston area she has sung with Joan Sutherland and the BCO (Boston Concert Opera), the Tanglewood Festival Chorus under contract as soloist, and for fifteen years held the position of cantor at St. Bridget’s Church in Framingham.

Elizabeth Wallace is fluent in the languages of the above-mentioned countries and is asked by natives of those countries, "What part of...Germany, Spain, you come from?" such is the accuracy of the pronunciation. Italian and German art songs are essential repertoire for the serious vocal student, with correct interpretation and pronunciation paramount.

Her spontaneous and positive teaching style offers a vocal technique which develops the innate and natural gift of each individual, helping students to produce a beautiful sound to reach their full potential. Each voice is encouraged to study the appropriate vocal repertoire to accommodate their unique instrument, its development and the student’s personal interests.

Ms Wallace utilizes the syllabus of the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) to give her students an outstanding musical education. With an abundant list of appropriate songs from classical, folk, musical theatre and modern composers, sight-singing, theory, and ear training, the student is exposed to many styles of singing at their appropriate level of development. Above all she strives to give each student that most valuable of gifts, a lifelong love for the beauty of music through the singing voice.
