Contemporary Commercial Music Workshop

March 28 - 31, 2019

Join us for an informative and engaging four-day symposium highlighting the anatomy, physiology, practical teaching application, and technology of Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) styles. The Cascade NATS Chapter is providing this opportunity to members and non-members alike to learn about specific contemporary styles of singing and teaching as part of their continuing education. Please see the schedule below outlining the events for each day of the symposium.

 

When: March 28 - March 31, 2019

March 28-29 - Session I: Fundamentals of CCM Technique March 30-31 - Session II: Beyond Technique: Training CCM performers

Where: University of Portland

What: A fantastic and informative symposium focused on styles in Contemporary Commercial Music. Learn how to teach and sing using the most safe and efficient techniques for musical theater, pop, rock, and country styles of singing. Participants may register for one or both of the Sessions.

Who: The symposium will be lead by Matt Edwards of Shenandoah University. Cascade NATS is bringing the acclaimed Summer CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University to Portland!

 

Please note: there will be opportunities for some of your students to sing on the symposium master classes!
