Bio: Currently in the process of relocating from the Washington DC area where I have performed and taught private voice for the past 37 years in my home studio, and for a time at Flint Hill Prep School. I am returning to my hometown of Holland, MI where my studio will be reopening in the near future. Inquiries are welcome during this transition. Emphasis is on developing a healthy, optimum vocal production regardless of genre of music being sung and developing a strong stage-presence, communication, and presentation skills. Clients have included professional and student classical art song/opera singers, professional pop/rock recording artists, and singing actors in the field of musical theatre, as well as actors and professionals in various fields who wished to improve their speaking voices. Emphasis is on a natural and free breath and voice production which results in an ease, agility and strength of the singing voice. My qualifications include both Bachelors and Masters degrees in voice and opera performance and post-graduate study of voice for speech and stage approaches and commericial voice techniques. If you have any questions, I would be delighted to speak with you. Students accepted from upper high school ages/pre-college through adult. Younger students may be considered on an individual basis.
