Style: Opera; Classical; Musical Theatre
Bio: I teach classical and musical theater repertoire, and sacred including Christian contemporary. I accept singers at all levels.
\nMy goal in teaching is always to "free" the voice, and to enable the student to discover his or her own best sound.
\nThe free voice is the healthiest and most natural way to sing -- tone produced through a loose jaw with a firm connection to the source of air pressure, the way a healthy speaking voice is produced. The free voice will be characterized by an absence of tension, a free flow of breath, a ringing resonance, and an ease of delivery.
\nI have a Master's Degree in Music from Northeastern Illinois University. I am a member of NATS, and the Music Teachers National Association.
Voice Type: Soprano
Music Styles Taught: Opera; Classical; Musical Theatre
Availability: I am currently accepting private students; I am available as a clinician or presenter
