\nClassical and contemporary voice teacher and performing artist Eileen Ruby offers heart-centered, mindfulness based instruction in voice for the 21st century vocal artist. For over twenty years, Eileen has been encouraging people to be free of tension and release psychological and emotional blockages so that they can sing from the heart.
\nHer teaching is informed by MM and BM degrees in Voice Performance from UMASS, Amherst and ongoing studies of Yoga, meditation, Body-Mapping, Acupressure, Aromatherapy, and Qi Gong.
\nAfter graduate school Ms. Ruby embarked on a ten year quest to decode the differences between vocal pedagogy for contemporary singing and traditional pedagogy for classical singing. She is one of a new breed of classical voice teachers that understand and can demonstrate the differences in vocal production for multiple styles and can connect with artists from many genres using a somatic(body) and voice science perspective. In 2008 Eileen obtained the Level III Certificate in Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method, and in 20010 Estill Voice Training Levels 1 and 2.
\nIn her own words: "I will never stop studying and exploring the voice. The voice is my passion and I am here to serve the voice community as a fellow traveler and explorer searching for ever new ways to teach and share love, passion, beauty, intensity, and the mystical, mysterious art of singing."
\nAll of Eileen's teaching and performing efforts are dedicated to advancing peace on earth through evolving self-realized artists and artistry.
