Bio:

Dr. Michelle Latour, lyric coloratura soprano, is active as a singer, teacher, and author. She has performed throughout Europe and the U.S. She has also presented numerous workshops and master classes throughout the United States, frequently serves as an adjudicator, and has published numerous articles for various scholarly journals. She has published over fifty articles and cover stories in Classical Singer since 2009.

Michelle is past Nevada District Governor for the National Association of Teachers of Singing, past President of the NATS, San Diego Chapter, past Vice President for the NATS, Buckeye Chapter, a 2004 participant in the prestigious NATS Intern Program. Teaching voice for over 26 years, she has previously taught voice at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the University of Southern California, San Diego State University, the University of San Diego, and Bluffton University.

Michelle received her Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Southern California, where she was a graduate assistant in the Vocal Arts Department and a USC Scholarship recipient. She received her Masters of Music from Boston University and her Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fresno. Dr. Latour also achieved certification in Levels I-III in Somatic Voicework™, The LoVetri Method, from Shenandoah University, which is training in the technique of Contemporary Commercial
