Title: PhD, CCC-SLP/Singing Voice Specialist
Bio: JoAnna Sloggy received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, studying voice and piano co-currently from Methodist University, a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Memphis, and a Doctorate from the University of Kentucky in Rehabilitation Sciences. She completed her clinical fellowship focusing on voice and upper airway disorders at the University of Kentucky Voice & Swallow Clinic and is currently the Singing Voice Specialist for the clinic. JoAnna has extensive training and experience with voice in both classical and contemporary commercial music genres and vocal pedagogy. She has performed extensively as a musical theater performer in the regional theater circuit and continues to run a private music studio focusing on training performers for a career in the arts. Her research focus in the aging elite vocal athlete.
