Bio: Turkish-American, lyric-coloratura soprano Bengi Tasci made her Metropolitan Opera debut in 2003 and her European debut at Belle-Île-en-Mer, France in 2006. Among others, she has sung the roles of Zerlina, Olympia, Oscar, Adina and Königin der Nacht, and has performed under maestros James Levine, Valery Gergiev, Julius Rudel, Paul Nadler, Franz Welser-Möst, Anton Guadagno, Kamal Khan, Jay Meetze and Linus Lerner. Ms Tasci is a winner of several prestigious vocal competitions including Palm Beach Opera Voice Competition, Opera Birmingham Vocal Competition and Palm Beach Atlantic Vocal Competition. In addition to private lessons, Ms. Tasci received education from Istanbul State Conservatory, Mimar Sinan State Conservatory and New World School of the Arts. Ms. Tasci has 27 years of experience in music. Aside from her private studio, Ms. Tasci taught voice at Pine Crest School, Music School of Westchester, Abrons Arts Center and Music School in Chappaqua. Currently, Ms. Tasci is enjoying the wonderful opportunity of sharing her knowledge and experience with her students as the Director and Teacher at Music with Bengi in Manhattan, New York.
