Rebekah earned her Bachelor of music degree in voice performance from the University of Arizona. She proudly sang under the tutelage of world-renowned opera singer, Faye Robinson. She has performed in several ensembles in college including opera theatre, opera scenes, choir, guitar duets, jazz combo and big band. She has appeared in several of her colleagues recitals as a singer, and has performed three full recitals of her own. She works on learning new music now while getting ready for a new recital, and regularly performs as a church cantor and choral section leader in Lewiston, Maine.
Rebekah teaches females ages 8 and above, and males age 8-18. She teaches technique and the importance of discipline in each lesson, but is most proud of making a difference in young peoples attitudes. So many times, singers can be "catty", jealous and negative towards one another. With Rebekah's regular student sharing group classes, she encourages the students to be kind and encouraging to one another. This positive environment created by the group allows students to let themselves be open to expression better than they ever could and prepares them for their recitals and competitions.
