Bio:
Ms. Michalicek, soprano, holds a Master's in Music (Vocal Performance) from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor's in Music (Vocal Performance) from Lawrence University. As a vocal teacher she has held a private studio since 2012, championing vocal techniques through the cognitive (mind) and kinesthetic (body) relationship. She has worked with professional opera companies since 2004 (both on and off the stage) and most recently she can be seen as a Cedar Rapids area soloist with the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale and the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre. Production Manager credits for Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre productions include South Pacific, Cavalleria rusticana, Pagliacci, Speed Dating Tonight!, Turandot, The Ugly Duckling, Brigadoon, The Threepenny Opera, The Grant Wood Opera’s: Strokes of Genius, Madama Butterfly, and The Pirates of Penzance.
Assistant directing credits include Cosi fan tutte (University of Missouri – Columbia).
