Bio: SEAN TAYLOR, bass-baritone, is Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at The University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley, where he directs the Master Chorale & Chamber Singers, and teaches studio voice and conducting. Sean holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting with a Cognate in Vocal Performance from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, the Master of Music degree in Conducting from Carnegie Mellon University (PA) where he was assistant conductor to Grammy-winning conductor Robert Page, and the Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Westminster College (PA). He has performed as a soloist in the Knox Music Series at Knox Presbyterian Church (OH), the Bach Collegium Series at Calvary Episcopal Church (OH), with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (PA), and the Berkshire Choral Festival (MA). Additionally, he has premiered several works by student composers at CCM (OH) and Carnegie Mellon University (PA). He is a member of the faculty at the Berkshire Choral Festival and has recently served on the music faculties of Central State University (OH) and Washington & Jefferson College (PA).
