Katherine holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor degree in Voice Performance from the University of Western Ontario. She taught voice for two years at Tyndale University in Toronto and currently teaches at Beckett School at Laurier, while maintaining a thriving private studio in Exeter.
Katherine Neeb is a classically trained musician, performer, and teacher, passionate about helping her students of all ages find their own unique voice. She has experience teaching a variety of musical styles, including classical, pop, music theatre, jazz, and contemporary. Her students have been accepted into music programs at post-secondary institutions, performed in local musicals and competitions, prepared for RCM examinations, and studied for the pure joy of making music. She seeks to empower and guide her students to discover their true potential as singing artists. Katherine’s voice has been described as “tender and powerful, a dynamic combination” (Arshak Andriasov, composer). As a soprano with a passion for concert repertoire and new music, she has worked with composers Ronald Beckett, John Beckwith, Norbert Palej, and Arshak Andriasov. Recent solo performances include Haydn's Creation, BWV 133 'Ich freue mich in dir', and a performance with The Stratford Six at Stratford Summer Music's Season Finale. In addition to solo performances, Katherine sings with the Elora Singers.
