Bio: Mary Krason Wiker holds a M.M. in Vocal Performance from Cleveland State University and has been instructing voice students throughout her college, graduate, and post-graduate careers. She is an active soloist throughout the greater Cleveland area, primarily in the sacred/church music sector. Mary is an active chorister and member of the Cleveland Orchestra Blossom Festival Chorus as well as smaller ensembles throughout the area. As a voice teacher, Mary has prepared students for various ensembles and auditions, including the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, Cleveland Orchestra Children's Chorus, OMEA evaluations and competitions (where her students have received superior ratings), MIM Show Choir, and other private auditions. In private lessons, Mary's teaching philosophy is to bring students to a greater understanding of music through the practice of good technique and sincere musicality. This revelation and journey is different for each individual voice, and she strives to help each student discover their "inner voice."
