Bio: DANIEL SHIGO is an accomplished voice teacher, bass-baritone, scholar, and author. A resident of New York City, Daniel teaches classical & musical theatre singers, beginning to advanced, at his studio near Lincoln Center, where he sang with the New York City Opera and Metropolitan Opera for twenty-three seasons. An inveterate researcher, Daniel has been dubbed the vocal Indiana Jones for finding the lost teachings of the father of voice science in "Hidden in Plain Sight: The Hermann Klein Phono-Vocal Method Based upon the Famous School of Manuel Garcia (VoiceTalkPublications 2013)." Daniel is the founding editor of VOICEPrints—The Official Journal of the New York Singing Teachers Association, and blogs at VOICETALK: Historical Perspectives on the Art of Singing.
