Bio: Kim Fairbourn graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music/ liberal arts- choral/ vocal emphasis from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah in 1994 where she studied voice with Evelyn Harris and Karen Brookens Bruestle, and choral conducting with Dr. Mark Henderson. She has also studied voice privately with Ken Plain. She has taught voice and piano privately for about 18 yrs. In Sandy, Utah. She is an active member of the National Federation of Music Clubs, the Music Teacher’s National Association, and the Utah Music Teachers’ Association. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in piano (NCTM) with MTNA. She has been a licensed Kindermusik teacher, and has directed several church choirs. She has most recently studied piano with Merla Little, former director of the Preparatory Division at the University of Utah. She teaches both piano and voice with a classical approach.
