Bio:

Andy King is a voice teacher, actor, and music director from New York City. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with his Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance and earned his Master's of Music in Music Theatre at The Boston Conservatory.

Andy has been teaching voice for eight years, from the Midwest to the East Coast. Before moving to Boston he was on the adjunct faculty at Iowa Western Community College. In addition to being a private voice instructor at the college, he also created, implemented, and taught a music theatre techniques class. He is currently a private voice teacher in New York City. As a music director, Andy has played for and conducted Urinetown with the Secret Theater, Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jacksonwith 5th Floor Productions and two productions of the new musical Kingdom Come.

Andy has also been active as a professional actor. He spent the last year in the cast of the Camelot National Tour. Other favorite roles include Austin (I Love You Because), Cinderella's Prince (Into The Woods), and Curly (Oklahoma!).

Andy has extensively studied vocal pedagogy with Justin Stoney and has completed certification of Voice Teacher Training at New York Vocal Coaching as well as studied voice with Kevin Wilson at The Boston Conservatory.
