For me, teaching is not only a vocation, but a passion that grows with every passing year. As a vocal performance graduate, my first desire was to pursue an Opera career, but realized quickly that teaching was where my heart belonged. There is no greater joy then instilling the knowledge and thrill of music to young singers. I was so very fortunate to learn from wonderful teachers of vocal pedagogy and dramatic acting, which I believe contributes greatly to my success as an instructor.
Through the years, I have been blessed with many of my students becoming (repeat) All State choir members, UIL Solo and Ensemble Outstanding performers at the region and state level, as well as DFW district NATS winners/outstanding performers, and leading roles in their high school musicals. I am proud of those who have gone through their college years earning music education and vocal performance degrees, knowing the commitment, and skills they require.
Music has been vital to me my entire life. It is a dream come true to have a job that I truly love, and I hope to inspire students with that same sentiment.
