American Soprano, Caitlin Mohr’s "powerful and expressive" (Boston Musical Intelligencer) voice, combined with her expertise in vocal pedagogy make the east coast native a sought after performer, vocal technician, and teacher of singing. Mohr uses her vibrant soprano voice, magnetic personality and highly qualified expertise to share rarely told stories through song. Caitlin Mohr’s radiant voice and captivating stage presence have entranced audiences in a diverse repertoire of oratorio masterpieces. With a voice that effortlessly traverses the depths of human emotion, Caitlin has served as the luminous soprano soloist for an array of iconic works including Mozart's Requiem, Rutter’s Requiem, Schubert's Mass in G, and The Armed Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins. Mohr received great acclaim for singing Fauré’s Requiem with “lovely purity” at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and was described by critics as “the most expressive actor” with a "sparkling soprano" in her performance of Vivaldi’s Judith Triumphans. (Orlando Sentinel). With an unwavering dedication to her craft, she has established herself as a dedicated concert artist. Her performance of Mozart’s Alleluia was met with accolades, being praised as "pleasing...angelic." Mohr’s "clear voice floats over Christoph Graupner's 'Magnificat,'" and in another concert with the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, she "achieved a floating otherworldly sound in ‘Evenstar,’ from the ‘Lord of the Rings’ movie ‘The Two Towers.’” Mohr will be the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah at the Steinmetz Hall in November 2023. From the historic churches of Italy to the vibrant cultural scenes of Turkmenistan, Caitlin Mohr continues to captivate audiences worldwide, reaffirming her status as a true ambassador of classical music. Mohr performed with the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan in Central Asia, commemorating Leonard Bernstein’s Centennial, under the baton of Michael Lewanski (Ensemble dal Niente). In Italy and Bulgaria, Mohr’s soprano soared effortlessly over the Mozart Requiem under the baton of Gregory Buchalter (Metropolitan Opera). Tucked beneath the Dolomite mountains, Mohr shared the stage with the governor of the small town of Asiago on a solo rendition of Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus in a musical cultural exchange. As an avid performer of dynamic contemporary compositions, Mohr has premiered works by composers Erica Glenn (Nancy, Weaver of Raveloe) and Paul Sayed (Grace in the Wind). Her selected operatic credits include the title role of Felice in Benton Hess’s Felice, Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Mabel (Pirates of Penzance), and Giacinta (Orontea). Mohr starred as several of America's most beloved ingénues in an Enid Symphony Orchestra program entitled A Tribute to the Music of Rodgers & Hammerstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Caitlin Mohr is not only celebrated for her mesmerizing performances in oratorio and operas but also for her unique perspective on art song recitals. With a deep appreciation for the poetic essence of each piece, Mohr infuses her recitals with a profound emotional depth, inviting listeners into a world of evocative storytelling. Recent recitals include American Songbook: Bernstein & Copland, Sehnsucht, A Celebration of Women Composers, Ladies of Note, Courageous Voices, and a lecture recital called Art Songs & Spirituals of African American Women featuring Rollins alumni. Mohr’s innovative approach to curating her recitals invites audiences to experience the transformative power of music in refreshingly unique and profound ways.

Caitlin Mohr completed her undergraduate musical studies at Davidson College (B.A.), continuing with earning a M.M. at Longy School of Music of Bard College, and finally completing her D.M.A. at the University of North Texas. She currently teaches at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida as an Assistant Professor of Music.Dr. Mohr’s research focuses on vocal pedagogy and health related to the vocal athlete, women in music, and art song literature. She has completed her certification in The Lovetri Institute for Somatic Voicework™ and is an active adjudicator for FMTNA and NATS Voice Competitions. She maintains a private voice studio in Winter Park.
