Bio:

Trey is a conductor, voice teacher, and administrator now based in New Orleans, LA. He teaches with passion, empowers creative expression, and fosters empathetic community. In Summer 2020, he began work as a Music Teacher at KIPP Central City Primary, and reopened his private studio in a virtual capacity.

Prior to moving to NOLA, he held positions at Boston Children’s Chorus (Conductor and Manager of Educational Programs), Boston University (Lecturer, Prison Education Program), Endicott College (Instructor of Voice), JourneySongs Hospice Choir (Music Director), and United Parish in Brookline (Assistant Music Director). Recent training includes the META Fellowship with Mass Cultural Council, and the Certificate in Responsive Pedagogy at Teacher College, Columbia University. His professional affiliations include having served as Vice President of Choristers Guild Boston and Service Choir R&R Chair of MassACDA. He maintains membership in American Choral Directors Association, Louisiana Music Educators Association, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. A native of Dallas, TX, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music (voice) from Southern Methodist University and his Masters of Sacred Music (choral conducting) from Boston University.
