Professional Experience During her academic career, Mrs. N. Palatnic achieved significant success in the Singer's Contest, earning a coveted position as a singer at the State Opera House of the former USSR, a distinction awarded to only a select few students. After completing her studies at State University, she was invited to join the State Philharmonic Society as a soloist. Mrs. N. Palatnic enjoyed a highly successful career as a singer, performing in numerous concerts and tours both within the former USSR and internationally. She was personally invited to perform with her ensemble in countries such as Czechoslovakia, France, Romania, and Belgium. As a passionate advocate for classical and folk music, she was actively involved in promoting the genre across all 15 republics of the former Soviet Union. Her extensive solo repertoire includes pieces such as W.A. Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate with the famous “Alleluia” (Israel Chamber Orchestra), soprano parts from G. Handel’s Messiah, including "Rejoice Greatly," Cleopatra in Julius Caesar by Handel, Marguerite in Faust by G. Gounod, Rusalka in Rusalka by A. Dvořák, Madama Butterfly in Madama Butterfly by Puccini, as well as art songs by P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninoff, E. Grieg, and G. Fauré. She also performed well-known Ave Maria versions by F. Schubert, Bach-Gounod, and Giulio Caccini. Despite her qualifications and success as an opera singer, Ms. N. Palatnic has always strived to teach and pass on her knowledge. She offers private vocal lessons in the field of performing arts, vocals including singing technique, repertoire, music interpretation, etc. Her vocal experience, positive teaching style and personal warmth make her an exceptional teacher, sharing her passion for music with students in a friendly atmosphere, but an effective way. As a vocal coach she leads both private and semi-private lessons and prepares students of all levels for Royal Conservatory Examinations up to grade 10 and ARCT. She also trains students for auditions to prestigious art schools, as well as solo students, duets and ensembles for music festivals such as Kiwanis, Davenport, Peel and NYMF and OMFA. Most of her students are winners of these festivals as well as the York Region Talent Search in the City of Vaughan. In addition, a number of these students decided to further their education by entering University music programs and are successfully completing them.
