Title: Singing Teacher
Bio: Dale began performing at age 8 and has now had 35 years of performance experience including lead singer in rock and pop bands, worship leading, backing vocals, musical theatre ensemble and leading roles and various concert performances. Dale studied privately with Contemporary Voice Specialist Alan Dean in Sydney for three years before completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of New South Wales majoring in Music (Voice) and English Literature. Dale was awarded a full internship to the ANATS Musical Theatre seminar in Ballarat in September 2007, and in December 2007 she received the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence. Dale was on the teaching staff for the Young Conservatorium Contemporary Voice Program in 2008, and in 2011 completed her Masters of Music Studies in Voice Pedagogy at the Queensland Conservatorium. Dale has specialized in teenage voice in her work at Genesis Christian College and Prince of Peace Lutheran College, where she also directed the Senior Choir. She is experienced adjudicating singing competitions, and in 2014 Dale adjudicated Brisbane Eisteddfod Junior Voice sections. From 2013 – 2014 Dale was the voice teacher for the Bachelor of Music (Voice) students at the University of Southern Queensland and has given many workshops and lectures on Contemporary Voice, Performance Anxiety, Vocal Health and How to Belt. In 2015 Dale attended the Contemporary Commercial Music Institute at Shenandoah Conservatory In Winchester, Virginia and is now a Fully Certified Level I, II and III practitioner in Somatic Voicework TM The Lovetri Method. Dale now focuses on her busy North Brisbane studio, where she teaches all ages and standards – from professional performers, to children and mature beginners. She teaches all Contemporary Voice styles, from pop and rock to jazz and country and of course, her first love and ongoing passion, Musical Theatre. Dale is a full member of ANATS (Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing), the AVA (Australian Voice Association) and MTEA (Musical Theatre Educators Alliance).
