Bio: A native of Ohio, soprano Mary Beth Coolidge made her operatic debut in Arezzo, Italy where she sang the roles of Hero in "L’Egisto" and Lisette in "La Rondine". Since then she has enjoyed multiple performances with Greensboro Light Opera, Greensboro Opera, UNCG Opera Theatre and Oberlin Opera Theater. Some of her favorite past roles include: Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Emily (Help Help the Globolinks), Miles (Turn of the Screw), Jenny Slade (Roman Fever) Kate (Pirates of Penzance). Most recently, Ms. Coolidge had the pleasure of “crossing over” as a professional musical theater artist at the Clinton Showboat Theater, singing the role of Marion in "The Music Man". Mary Beth is also a certified Alexander Technique teacher (ATI) and greatly enjoys helping others find freedom and ease of movement. She believes in and practices a whole-self approach in her performing and teaching. Ms. Coolidge holds a Masters of Music in voice performance from U.N.C. Greensboro and a Bachelors of Music in voice performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. She is a 2016 graduate of the Chesapeake Bay Alexander Studies. mbcoolidge@anderson.edu
