Lisa Hedin

Style: Opera; Classical; Musical Theatre
Title: Executive Director
Bio:

Lessons include technique and repertoire work. Lesson fee include copies of music and accompaniment tracks whenever possible. I tailor the lessons to the particular needs of my students. Singing is a very personal process. I believe strongly it is about “fit” and communication. Beginning, intermediate or advanced – all students at middle school age or above are welcome. Some of the skills and knowledge I bring are my expertise in finding the right songs for the right audition or situation. Additionally, for college-bound students interested in majoring in music or music-theatre; I advise, select, coach, record, and participate fully in finding the right school for you, and your family

As a classically trained singer, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Voice from University of Illinois, and decades of work on and behind the stage, I believe there is only one voice but there are many different colors and tones and styles that can be applied through proper use of different techniques for different musical styles. I welcome students interested in classical training & repertoire, or musical theatre repertoire. With more than 30 years of stage and vocal directing experience in the classical & musical theatre arenas, I have a large repertoire to draw upon.
