Bio:

Ilah Raleigh is a vocalist and arts educator who supports her students in becoming confident, engaging performers as they develop their personal sound, vocal technique, and artistry. She has successfully worked with artists in a variety of genres including music theater, art song, opera, pop, country, R & B, mariachi, and folk. Her students can be seen performing professionally throughout the U.S.

Dr. Raleigh’s performance credits in opera and concert include Washington National Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Minnesota Opera, the Lakes Area Music Festival, and the MacPhail Spotlight Series. Dr. Raleigh’s classical training includes a season as an Orlando Opera Resident Artist and two years of private study with Giulietta Simionato in Milan, Italy. She has pursued additional training in contemporary commercial music and vocal technique from Berklee Online and Shenandoah University.

Dr. Raleigh is the Director of Visual and Performing Arts at The Blake School, a PK-12 independent school, based in Hopkins, MN. She holds an Ed.D. from the University of St. Thomas, Department of Educational Leadership, an M.Mus., Vocal Performance, from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins, and a B.A. in Italian Studies (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Minnesota.
