Bio: Mezzo-soprano Ilah Raleigh’s dream is to share her passion for music and performance - with audiences, fellow musicians, and her students. Inspired by this dream, she has performed in recital and opera venues as varied as the Kennedy Center, elementary school cafeterias, and an historic (and haunted) opera house in Florida's "Emerald Coast." Ilah has pursued training far and wide, from St. Paul, to Santa Fe, to San Francisco - even to Milan, Italy! During a two-year stay in Milan, she became fluent in Italian while studying with celebrated mezzo-soprano, Giulietta Simionato. Ilah earned a Master of Music, Vocal Performance from the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in Italian Studies (BA) from the University of Minnesota. Ilah is currently in the Education Leadership and Learning Doctoral program at the University of St. Thomas' School of Education.
