Title: Lecture of Music at Lawrence Conservatory
Bio: Korean-American soprano Esther Oh Zabrowski has quickly distinguished herself as a dynamic singer who is equally passionate about portraying a wide variety of characters on the operatic stage as she is about exploring a rich and wide repertoire of songs in recital settings. In November 2014, Oh made her debut at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, where she performed a recital of Lieder by Spohr and Schubert with The Kennedy Center Chamber Players at the Terrace Theater. Operatic roles include Annina in La traviata, Epicene in Musto’s Volpone, Countess in Le nozze di Figaro, Magda Sorel in The Consul, and Gretel in Hansel and Gretel. In 2016, Esther Oh Zabrowski joined the faculty at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance where she shared her love of singing with aspiring singers while actively performing in operas, concerts, and recitals. In 2017, Oh and her husband moved to Appleton, Wisconsin where she teaches and is actively involved with the community. She holds a doctor of musical arts degree and master of music degree, both in voice performance, from Temple University, and a bachelor of music in voice performance from the New England Conservatory of Music.
