Bio: Proclaimed "...ravishing to the ear" by the Raleigh News and Observer and "...vocally captivating" by Spectator Magazine, Kimberley Bentley’s “rich and mature” soprano is ideal for the leading ladies of Verdi, Puccini and Strauss. Ms. Bentley's roles include Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera, Waltraute in Die Walküre, Desdemona in Otello, Mother in Hansel and Gretel, and Countess Olivia in the world premiere of the opera Twelfth Night by Joel Feigin. Ms. Bentley has participated in various music festivals including the Natchez Festival of Music and the Wagner Intensive hosted by Baldwin Wallace University with soprano Jane Eaglen. She has thrilled audiences up and down the eastern seaboard with her “rousing, energetic [and] vibrant” interpretations in recital, concert and operatic performances. Ms. Bentley has also been acclaimed in singing competitions, including The Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (Northeastern Region), the National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Awards and the Liederkranz Foundation Competition. Ms. Bentley now resides in Raleigh, NC where, in addition to performing, she has opened a private vocal studio. Passionate about keeping the musical arts alive, Ms. Bentley serves on the boards of Philharmonic Association - Triangle Youth Music and International Young Artists Project, both in Raleigh, NC. She is also a board member of Musica Trinitatis – a concert series located at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New York City.
