Mezzo-Soprano, Ana Guigui, completed her DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) degree in Vocal Arts at USC’s Thornton School of Music in August of 2013, and has been an ongoing Associate Professor of Voice at the Berklee College of Music in Boston since 2014. Dr. Ana Guigui teaches several courses at Berklee, including “Writing, Developing, and Performing A One-Person Show,” a course she devised for Berklee. Summer Berklee initiatives include directing Musical Theater Chorus students and providing the opportunity to collaborate and perform with a live Musical Theater Orchestra. She is a co-founder of Opera On Tap L.A., which brings opera into alternative venues. She is also the creator, founder, and national artistic director of Opera On Tap Latino, whose mission is to perform, preserve, revive, and potentially create new classical Spanish language vocal repertoire in alternative venues.
Ana recorded and toured around the world as a long-standing keyboardist/vocalist for Christopher Cross, and freelanced with Ben Folds, Chip Taylor, Jon Secada, Deborah Gibson, AMERICA, Stephen Bishop, Andrew Gold, Bo Bice, and Juan Gabriel. Ana is an independent artist and her original C.D., Love Is On The Line, was produced by Andrew Gold (“Lonely Boy”, “Thank You For Being a Friend”), and is distributed internationally by BFM Digital. Ana is an active singer with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus (Boston Symphony) in Boston.
