Bio: Lindsay Cummings is a Chicago actor, singer, music director, and teaching artist. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and a Masters of Music in Musical Theatre and Opera Performance from Arizona State University. She has worked extensively in television and musical theatre throughout the country, but teaching young artists has always been her passion. She cultivates a safe and welcoming work environment that allows students the freedom to explore their musical voice. She approaches singing and piano performance from a pedagogical and physical standpoint - you will often see her students exercising in their lessons! Other than teaching, Lindsay has published articles on the use of exercise and kinesthetics in singing and performance, and is currently writing a book for teachers of musical theatre voice.
