Bio: I am a professional teacher and performer with over ten years of experience (singing and acting). I have a B.A. in Music from Coastal Carolina University which was received in May of 2008. In May of 2019 I graduated with an M.F.A. in Performing Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design where I completed a teaching internship as an assistant to the professor of voice and speech. My M.F.A. thesis project included playing the lead role in, writing, composing, and self-producing an original musical short film called "Hold the Cheese, Please." My thesis paper is titled "Vocal Technique: The Calm in the Storm of Self-Producing a Musical Film" and looks at the importance of a reliable singing technique while juggling the many hats of self-production, as well as the integration of theatre vocal techniques (Fitzmaurice Voicework® and Patsy Rodenburg) with traditional singing techniques to free the voice of tension. I have been teaching voice lessons in my private studio for the past ten years. Since 2013 I have served as the music director at Prince George Episcopal Church in Georgetown, SC working with contemporary praise bands, youth choirs, and traditional choirs. In the summer of 2022 I became a certified teacher in the Miller Voice Method. I am currently offering private lessons and coaching via zoom.
