In fact, Absolute Comedy Ottawa Management feels that she has "impeccable comedic timing" and CBC's Laurence Wall acclaimed her on air for her “fine voice and touch for the theatrical.”
Holding Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Education degrees from Acadia University and a Masters of Music Degree in Vocal performance from The University of Ottawa, Ms. Banyard has also established herself as a vocal clinician, coach, adjudicator and voice teacher of skill and merit. (Her clinical voice work at the Grange School in Hartford, England was described as "spectacular.")
Career highlights include solo recitals at Christ Church Cathedral (Dublin, Ireland), The Canadian Premier of Llama’s Popule Meus with Coro Vivo Ottawa, The Second Lady in Opera Lyra Ottawa's production of Turandot, Flora in Pellegrini Opera's Production of La traviata, Musetta in Capital City Opera's Inaugural production of La bohème, the soloist in Paul Mealor's stunning Stabat Mater with The Cantata Singers of Ottawa and, most recently, as Der Konnigen der Nacht with Ottawa Operatunities in Mozart's incomparable Die Zauberflöte and as Miss Andrew is ASNY Ottawa's production of Mary Poppins.
Ms. Banyard’s upcoming performances include The First Witch in Dido and Aeneas, as well as female cast in "Backwards Broadway Cabaret."
