Soprano Contact: dina.toliver@cim.edu Russian-American soprano Dina Kuznetsova has built her reputation on outstanding musicianship and captivating stage presence and has graced many of the world’s greatest stages. From the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden with Sir Antonio Pappano, Staatsoper Unter den Linden with Daniel Barenboim, Wiener Staatsoper with Claude Schnitzler, and Bayerische Staatsoper with Ivor Bolton to the San Francisco Opera with Donald Runnicles and the Metropolitan Opera with Marco Armiliato, Kuznetsova is widely considered one of today’s most touching and expressive performers.

An alumna of the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s young artist program, Kuznetsova went on to star in a number of new productions at the theatre, including Cunning Little Vixen, Rigoletto and, marking her role debut as Tatyana, in Eugene Onegin under the baton of Sir Andrew Davis. Other key appearances have included Jenůfa for Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile, Katya Kabanová for Staatsoper Hamburg, Rusalka for the Glyndebourne Festival under Sir Andrew Davis and at Teatro di San Carlo, Naples, and Lisa (Pique Dame) with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra under Vladimir Ashkenazy. Ms. Kuznetsova starred as Cio–Cio San in Anthony Minghella’s celebrated production of Madama Butterfly at English National Opera under Gianluca Marcianò and reprised the role for Atlanta Opera and Pittsburgh Opera (conducted by Music Director Antony Walker). A keen recitalist and chamber musician, Dina Kuznetsova appears regularly at both the New York Festival of Song and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and features as part of the Music@Menlo series of CDs performing songs by Dvořák and Shostakovich. Since Fall 2018, Ms. Kuznetsova has served on Faculty of Cleveland Institute of Music as a Voice teacher and Director of opera scenes.

Previously, Ms. Kuznetsova has taught at University of Akron School of Music and served as an Artist-in-Residence at Fairmont state University. She has given numerous Masterclasses, including Ohio Chapter of NATS and Nightingale Opera Theater Young Artist program, and has been featured in Nationals Public Radio and PBS broadcasts.
