Bio:
Jess Huetteman (she/they) is a classical soprano and voice teacher based in Providence, RI. Jess enjoys a career singing with professional choirs throughout the US and teaching voice lessons.
Active as a soloist and chorister, Jess has performed under the batons of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Paul Smith, Pablo Heras-Casado, Simon Carrington, and Julian Wachner. This past season, Jess collaborated with various professional choirs, including The VOCES8 US Scholars, The Union, and Collegium Ancora. In July 2022, Jess appeared as a Teaching Artist and soprano soloist for the 10th Annual Quintessence Summer Choral Festival in Albuquerque, NM. At home in RI, Jess maintains an active voice studio and enjoys interweaving singing with yoga and mindfulness. In July 2022, Jess was appointed Secretary of the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (RINATS).
Jess is a Level I Certified YogaVoice® Teacher (CYVT-L1) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). She holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Pedagogy with distinction from Westminster Choir College of Rider University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology from UMass Amherst.
