Madeline strives to have open communication with students and encourages them to let her know if they have a question or concern. She especially enjoys working with young singers and beginning students. Ms. Mangas is patient, caring, and compassionate. She has experience working with private students from ages 7 to age 68.

Shortly after her undergraduate career at the University of North Florida, Ms. Mangas presented vocal masterclasses and pedagogy workshops within several of the local school system’s choral programs. She also music directed two productions for a middle and high school theatre program. During the 2020 academic year, Madeline held the position of Music and Movement Teacher at Circle Christian School in addition to teaching privately through Central Florida Vocal Arts and her own studio. Ms. Mangas created a 7-week Vocal Pedagogy course for Central Florida Vocal Art’s initiative to continue arts education during the pandemic lockdowns. Throughout her undergraduate career and after in addition to performing, Madeline taught voice lessons and participated in opera outreach. She was the Education and Outreach summer intern with Sarasota Youth Opera in 2018. Her enthusiasm for operatic outreach continued as she participated in multiple outreach endeavors with Opera Orlando throughout two of their previous seasons. Ms. Mangas sang in the ensemble for two of their productions in addition to singing in concerts with the company including Andrea Bocelli’s Believe World Tour Concert in December 2021.

She recently graduated from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance. Ms. Mangas recently sang excerpts from Don Giovanni as Zerlina in Frost Opera Theatre’s Travel to Seville concert. Last spring, she had the great honor of singing in the world premiere of composer Michael Dellaira and librettist J. D. McClatchy’s opera The Leopard with Frost Opera Theatre under the baton of Gerard Schwarz and direction of Jeffrey Buchman. In 2016, she made her operatic debut as Papagena in Die Zauberflöte with the European Music Academy where she performed all over the Czech Republic. In the summer of 2019 and 2023, Ms. Mangas studied in Germany through two young artist programs.

She is most proud when her students have achieved their musical aspirations or just simply enjoy the act of singing or playing the piano. Madeline has experience teaching both classical and musical theatre styles of singing. Each student is unique and brings something special to the music they create. Ms. Mangas strives to cater each lesson to the individual’s interests and supply them with the skills to achieve their musical aspirations.
