Described as a “remarkable baritone” (Opera News) who delivers a “supremely nuanced performance” (Gramophone), Chris Thompson is an international artist noted for compelling performances on stage and in the concert hall. A frequent oratorio and opera soloist, the most recent of his many performances include Bach’s B minor Mass and Handel’s Messiah with Spire Chamber Ensemble, Schaunard in La Boheme with Springfield Regional Opera, and Bach’s Cantata 140 with the Mid-America Singers. An accomplished recitalist, he has performed throughout the United States and has sung Schubert’s Winterreise on numerous occasions with acclaimed concert pianist Steven Spooner.

In addition, Chris made his Off-Broadway debut in Fermat’s Last Tango (Original Cast Recordings) and is a featured soloist on Impetuosities (Albany Records), a CD of music by New York composer Joshua Rosenblum.
