Bio: Dallyn is a professional singer, actor, recording artist and teacher. He understudied and performed the roles of the Phantom, Raoul, and Andre in the Broadway touring company of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. He toured internationally and throughout the United States with the Broadway tour of LES MISÉRABLES, including the show’s China premiere production starring Colm Wilkinson. Dallyn has also played leading roles in numerous regional theatre productions and readings in New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Seattle, and throughout Utah, including: THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Captain von Trapp – Tuacahn Center for the Arts), THE LITTLE MERMAID (King Triton – Tuacahn Center for the Arts), THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO (Villefort – Tuacahn New Works reading with Frank Wildhorn and Jack Murphy), A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER (D’Ysquith Family – Hale Centre Theatre), THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL (Chauvelin – Hale Centre Theatre), JANE EYRE (Rochester – Hale Center Theater Orem), THE SECRET GARDEN (Archibald Craven – Village Theater and Hale Center Theater Orem), RAGTIME (Father – Hale Centre Theatre), SOUTH PACIFIC (Emile – Hale Center Theater Orem), ANYTHING GOES (Billy Crocker – Greater Lowell MT), CHILDREN OF EDEN (Adam – NYC industry reading with Stephen Schwartz and Norm Lewis), and PHANTOM (Count Chandon – Fullerton CLO). Dallyn is a member of Actors' Equity Association. As a concert soloist Dallyn has performed across the country and shared the stage with several distinguished performers and musicians, including: Tim Janis’ CHRISTMAS (with Colbie Caillat and Tori Kelly) and THE AMERICAN CHRISTMAS CAROL (with Matthew Morrison, Sierra Boggess, and Hayley Westenra) at Carnegie Hall, FRANK WILDHORN & FRIENDS (with Ashley Brown, Jackie Burns, Kevin Kern, and Teal Wicks), GOLDEN DAYS (with Rebecca Luker), MUSIC FROM STAGE & SCREEN (with Utah Symphony and The Tabernacle Choir), MUSIC & THE SPOKEN WORD national broadcast (with The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square), and A KURT BESTOR CHRISTMAS. Dallyn has recorded three solo albums (SOME ENCHANTED EVENING, SONG OF REDEEMING LOVE, and PRAYER) and a duo Christmas album with Mindy Smoot Robbins (O HOLY NIGHT). He has recordings featured in the films 17 MIRACLES and EPHRAIM'S RESCUE. Dallyn earned his MFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory, where he also performed in productions of PAJAMA GAME (Sid Sorokin), ASSASSINS (John Wilkes Booth), THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA (Roy Johnson – with guest direction by Adam Guettel), and OKLAHOMA! (Jud Fry). He also earned his BFA in Music Dance Theatre from Brigham Young University. In addition to his performing career Dallyn has worked extensively as a voice and acting teacher, and masterclass presenter. He taught private voice and acting courses as adjunct faculty at Brigham Young University, and also guest directed a BYU main stage production of INTO THE WOODS. He currently serves as the director of COPA Studios, an online performing arts training studio, and previously worked as director of Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts. For his work as a performer Dallyn has been awarded the 2019 SCERA Star Award in Music, the 2017 Utah Governor’s Mansion Performing Artist Award, and the 2012 BYU Young Alumni Distinguished Service Award. www.dvbayles.com
