Bio: Bethany Goldson is a soprano from Corpus Christi, TX, where she performed in many musicals at the Harbor Playhouse. She holds a B.A. in Music - Voice from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and her M.M. in Voice from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Formerly a mezzo-soprano, she performed with both the musical theater ensemble and Opera Theater at the conservatory, the roles including Sarah in Quilters (Musical), The Mother in Stravinsky's Mavra, and Bianca in Britten's Rape of Lucretia. She also performed the role of Vera Boronel in The Consul by Menotti with Berkeley Chamber Opera. She was selected as a full scholarship recipient for Seattle Opera's inaugural opera academy in 2017 where she performed the role of Ma Moss in The Tender Land by Copland. She had written and edited for Modern Singer Magazine and was the author of the "Truth Talk" series. She was also a founder of the Houston Opera On Tap chapter. She is also highly versed in sacred music, as she has sung professionally for many religions and denominations.
