Bio: Carrie-Ann Hubbard is an Edmonton based soprano. Raised just North of the city in the town of Morinville, she has considered the Edmonton area her home all her life. She started her performance career in musical theatre and received a degree in Theatre Art’s from Grant MacEwan University. At this time she was also active writing and performing her own music in pubs and small shows around Edmonton and area, predominately in folk/singer songwriter music. Then in 2013 she began studying classical voice at the University of Alberta’s Augustana campus in Camrose, after which she obtained her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Alberta’s main campus. Carrie-Ann regularly performs in operas, cabarets, and recitals around the city, in addition to running her voice studio out of her home in the neighbourhood of Parkallen. Hubbard Voice studio includes students of all ages and abilities. Carrie-Ann enjoys working with both adults and children on learning and discovering their vocal talents. Lessons are tailored to accommodate each individual student’s needs. Depending on the goals of each student, lessons in music theory, piano basics, and ear training are included alongside vocal technique. Students are also provided with group performance classes and recitals as part of their lesson package. Carrie-Ann has an acting background and believes that learning performance skills is an important aspect of developing into a well rounded singer. Hubbard Voice Studio is a safe space for lgbtqia+ individuals.
