Bio: Dr. Timothy Buchholz is a Professor of Vocal Jazz and Contemporary Voice at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he directs two vocal jazz ensembles and teaches contemporary voice lessons and classes in popular music. Dr. Buchholz’s published vocal jazz arrangements have been used throughout the country in high school and college vocal jazz ensembles and for numerous all-state choirs. He has presented on the topic of vocal jazz pedagogy at both state and national choral conventions and has directed a number of high school all-state vocal jazz ensembles. Dr. Buchholz has previously directed ensembles and taught classes at the University of Miami Frost School of Music, Miami Dade College, and California State University at Long Beach. He is currently the Wisconsin ACDA vocal jazz all-state coordinator, and director of the UWSP Wausau Vocal Jazz Festival.
