Bio:

Kim Nguyen is a voice teacher, performing artist, and harpist whose students consistently earn top placements at local, regional, and national vocal competitions. She specializes in building healthy, efficient, and expressive singers through efficient vocal technique and neuroscience-informed practice methods that help students perform with confidence. As a singing harpist, Kim also specializes in teaching students how to self-accompany (singing while playing instruments at the same time). Her teaching philosophy balances technical excellence with artistic authenticity, creating an environment where singers develop both mastery and a genuine love of music.

As an active performer, Kim maintains a diverse career as a singing harpist, classical coloratura soprano, and choral musician. She performs with the Blasting Company (known for Over the Garden Wall) and can be heard on Adult Swim's The Elephant, created by Patrick McHale, Pendleton Ward, and Rebecca Sugar. She is also a member of The Delaware Choral Scholars, the number one choir in the world (Interkultur and Champion of the 2024 World Choir Games in New Zealand). When she isn't teaching, Kim is often traveling internationally for performances and choral competitions.

Kim holds Bachelor of Music degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Chapman University. In addition to teaching voice, piano, ukulele, and harp, she performs pedal harp for weddings and private events throughout Southern California.
