Kate's teaching and musical director career has spanned about twelve years where she has taught students ranging from primary beginner to professional levels. She is sought after for her creative integration of learning music and healthy, beginner to advanced belt technique. Her students have achieved high standards including being accepted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, performing in Disney+ productions, professional lead and supportive musical theater roles, winning competitions, performing lead and supportive roles in school musicals, and hand picked for selective choirs. She is passionate about teaching neurodivergent students and is proud of the many that already study with her in her studio. Kate specializes in belt technique, classical technique, vocal health, and neurodivergent students.
Katie was a founding teacher at the summer camp of The Ark After-School Children’s program in Philadelphia. Additionally, she has enjoyed conducting adult and student choirs including Calvary Church of Wyncote’s seasonal choir for adults, Perkiomen Middle School’s choir and various summer children camps. An avid performer and musical director, she continually participates in local theatre productions, particularly in selective cabarets. Some favorite past credits include The Messiah, Così fan tutte, The Cunning Little Vixen, Grease, Kiss Me Kate, Oklahoma!, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Ragtime, Broadway Sings!, and the NCT Cabaret. Katie Pelletier is a graduate of Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance with a Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance and has worked with several well-respected teachers including William Stone, Hilda Harris and Roberta Knie. She currently studies with Michael Scarcelle.
