Bio: Melissa Peterson is a voice teacher and professional singer based in St. Louis, Missouri. As a voice teacher, Melissa teaches students of all ages the basic techniques of healthy singing. While, her technique focuses on the classical fine art tradition she welcomes students to explore other musical genres.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual needs and personal interests. My goal is to help my students develop a healthy vocal technique focusing on posture, breathing, resonance, articulation, and ease of vocal registers through a positive, fun environment. I also work with my students on foreign language diction, artistic interpretation, and basic acting skills to strengthen the student’s performing ability. My goal is to foster my students to become well-rounded singing performers.
In addition to a private voice studio Melissa is currently an adjunct professor of voice at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri and an instructor at the Community Music School of Webster University.
