Bio: I earned a Bachelor of Music in Voice from UNL School of Music in May 1996. My experience includes background in Art Song, Opera, Music Theater, Jazz and Sacred Solo Song. I have been teaching private voice for 21 years, and beginning/intermediate piano and theory for 10 years. I have guided many students to college careers and have several who have been awarded prestigious scholarships to study at various Music Schools. I believe that the study of music encourages well-rounded development. Private voice/piano lessons should foster in each student a joy of learning, an enthusiasm for growth, and an increased level of creativity. Each student, and thus every voice, has something unique to offer. My purpose is to aid each of my students in developing the confidence needed to communicate effectively through the art of music. This confidence can be found through consistent study and application of proper vocal/piano technique, daily exercise of the instrument, piano or voice, and regular performance experiences. I offer instruction to students of all ages and experience levels.
