Dr. José Miguel Santelices is a dynamic lyric tenor and an accomplished voice educator based in Dallas, Texas. Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance, Dr. Santelices brings over a decade of professional performance and teaching experience to his students. He is passionate about empowering singers to discover and refine their unique voices, blending technical mastery with artistic expression.

As a performer, Dr. Santelices has graced stages across the United States, delivering captivating interpretations of classical, operatic, and Latin American repertoire. Career highlights include performances at prestigious venues such as the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts and collaborations with renowned ensembles like OPERA San Antonio as a Teaching-Artist Fellow for the CMI 210 Festival. His diverse repertoire spans operatic arias, zarzuela, tango, and art songs, reflecting his profound passion for music and cultural storytelling.

In addition to his performance career, Dr. Santelices is the Founder and Director of VOCES Academy of the Arts, a premier music academy in Dallas that fosters excellence in singing and performing arts. Through VOCES, he mentors students of all levels, from beginners to emerging professionals, offering personalized instruction tailored to their individual goals.
